1 INTRODUCTION Multiple myeloma (MM) is a plasma cell malignancy and the second most common hematologic malignancy.1 Although novel treatments have significantly improved the prognosis of MM patients,2 the majority of MM patients eventually transform into relapsed or refractory MM.3 Therefore, it is critical to further explore the mechanisms of MM progression and identify novel therapeutic targets.
