We reported an epigenome-wide association study (EWAS) on phosphatidylethanol (PEth), an objective measure of current alcohol consumption in the Veteran Aging Cohort Study (VACS), and applied the findings to the Yale Stress Center Cohort (YSCC) (Ntotal=1,549). We further evaluated whether alcohol consumption altered epigenetic age in two cohorts using five epigenetic clocks.
