An estimated 1%–4% of global annual plastic production (approximately 10 million tons) enters the ocean (Borrelle et al., 2020; Wei et al., 2023). Plastics less than 5 mm in length are referred to as microplastics (MPs), which readily enter river and coastal waters, e.g., from runoff or via the wastewater network (Klein et al., 2015; Murphy et al., 2016; Okoffo et al., 2019).

AbstractA multiscale regulation strategy has been demonstrated for synthetic energy storage enhancement in a tetragonal tungsten bronze structure ferroelectric. Grain refining and second-phase precipitation (perovskite phase) are introduced in the BaSrTiNb2-xTaxO9 ceramics by regulating the composition and sintering process.

AbstractElectrochemical organic synthesis is typically conducted in organic media. The solvent and related supporting electrolytes negatively affect the greenness of electrosynthesis. In this work, with 100% water used as the solvent, we realize aggregation-driven electrochemical radical cross coupling of unsaturated compounds driven by water tension.

1 INTRODUCTION Skeletal muscle is the most abundant tissue in the human body, comprising around 40% of our overall mass.1 The contraction of skeletal muscle drives body movements via their skeletal attachments, meeting a broad range of functional demands from posture maintenance, breathing, thermogenesis to body movement and more.2 In situations of congenital diseases, traumatic injuries or tumour ablation, severe loss of skeletal muscle may occur with consequent impairments in aesthetics and...
