Visible-light-promoted C3-H alkoxycarbonylation of quinoxalin-2(1H)-ones or coumarins with alkyloxalyl chlorides Herein, we describe a green and efficient photoredox catalytic C3-H alkoxycarbonylation between quinoxalin-2(1H)-ones or coumarins and readily available alkyloxalyl chlorides under ambient conditions. A series of quinoxaline-3-carbonyl and coumarin-3-carbonyl compounds are prepared through the radical addition of the in situ-generated alkoxycarbonyl radicals.

Concentrations of thyroid hormone triiodothyronine (T3) and thyroxine (T4) is tightly regulated by thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) secreted by pituitary. T3 and T4 in turn provide negative feedback to the pituitary to control the TSH secretion, and TSH is sensitive to small thyroid hormone increases. Consequently, TSH testing has high sensitivity and specificity for detecting hyperthyroidism. The American Thyroid Association recommends TSH as the first-line test for evaluating thyroid function.
