N-doped porous carbon shows great potential in the field of heterogenous supports due to its high porosity, large surface area, rich active sites, and strong chelation with catalytic active metals species. Here, we successfully fabricated novel N-doped porous carbon derived from alginate/melamine blends with different mass ratio by simple carbonization and activation process.

1. IntroductionWith the development of oil-gas and geological drilling engineering, drilling engineering is constantly moving towards deep-ground, on the one hand, in order to develop deep-ground oil, gas, geothermal, and mineral resources [1], and on the other hand, to promote the development of geoscience [2]. During the process of drilling deep into the ground, drilling engineering faces more and more challenges, such as increasing formation temperature and deteriorating rock drillability.
