WHAT IS THE CURRENT KNOWLEDGE ON THE TOPIC? D-dimer is widely used in the diagnosis of deep vein thrombosis (DVT), but the specificity is low. SNHG12 is an endothelial-enriched lncRNA; it can mediate vascular senescence via reducing DNA damage thus relieving atherosclerotic lesion formation. WHAT QUESTION DID THIS STUDY ADDRESS? The expression profile of lncRNA SNHG12 was examined in DVT patients to reveal its potential roles.
