    By Yoo Jee-ho SEOUL, May 5 (Yonhap) -- The South Korean baseball league announced Monday it has surpassed 3 million in regular-season attendance in the fewest games in its history. The Korea Baseball Organization (KBO) said its 2025 season attendance reached 3,061,937 after a record 175 games. The previous mark for the fewest games to 3 million was 190 games from the 2012 season. The KBO earlier reached the 1 million and then the 2 million marks in a record-setting pace, too.

Bayer 04 Leverkusen, trying to chase down Bayern Munich, settled for a 2-2 draw against SC Freiburg in their Bundelisga action at Europa-Park Stadion in Freiburg, Germany, on Sunday (local time).

Ryu shot a bogey-free final round of eight-under 64 to win the inaugural Black Desert Championship at Black Desert Golf Course in Ivins, Utah, on Sunday (local time) at 26-under 262. Ryu, who had six birdies and an eagle, beat Esther Henseleit of Germany and Yin Ruoning of China by five strokes.

DeChambeau shot six-under 66 in the final round at Jack Nicklaus Golf Club Korea in Incheon, some 30 kilometers west of Seoul, to finish at 19-under after 54 holes at the first LIV Golf tournament held in South Korea.

Some random info: Former #STLCards pitcher Kwang-Hyun Kim (aka KK, remember him??) will be the highest-paid player in the KBO in 2025. Will make roughly $2.05 million US (3 billion Korean won). Kim played for the Cards on a two-year, $8 million deal, from 2020 to 2021.
