    ONE of York City's most famous FA Cup wins in their history has been recreated in a new book. In The Man Who Paints Football Book, artist Paul Town has featured York's famous FA Cup giant-killing win over Arsenal at Bootham Crescent in 1985. The book, which was published by Heritage Unlocked, features over 100 artworks inspired by the homes of different football clubs, with the focus spanning the length of the footballing nation and includes a foreword from sports commentator John Helm.

    BRICKS have been thrown at a house in a North Yorkshire village. The county's police say damage was caused after the missiles were thrown at property in Byram near Selby. A police spokesman said: "We're appealing for witnesses and information after damage was caused to a property in Byram. "It happened at about 5.40pm on Friday, January 10, when suspects entered the rear garden of a property on Sandringham Road.

    REMI Wilton has left York Valkyrie to join Betfred Women's Super League rivals Wigan Warriors for 2025. The former Canberra Raiders captain first linked up with Lindsay Anfield's side in April, going on to make her debut off the bench against Barrow Raiders later that month. She enjoyed a run of games at both hooker and half-back during the summer months and scored in back-to-back matches against St Helens and Warrington Wolves in July and August.
