It has been close to two weeks since the Israeli army launched its latest offensive on the occupied West Bank city of Jenin, its refugee camp, and the surrounding towns. Dubbed Operation “Iron Wall”, the operation has featured a ground invasion and airstrikes, which have caused massive destruction in the city, particularly the Jenin refugee camp. As of Friday, January 31, At least 19 Palestinians had been killed by the Israeli military, including a child as young as two-years-old.

The occupied West Bank has returned to the headlines in recent weeks, as tensions spurred on both by Israel and the Palestinian Authority threaten to destabilize an already volatile situation in the territory. On Tuesday, tensions flared after the killing of three Israelis and the wounding of eight in a shooting attack near Qalqilya, in the north east of the Palestinian territory.
