1 Introduction In ancient Chinese literature, a special fabric known as “Jiaoxiao Gauze” was described as being “light as a feather, into water it goes, but dryness it retains”. Although this legendary fabric has never been seen, the literature expresses people's genuine desire for a textile that is both featherlight and hydrophobic, offering breathability for hot weather and resistance against wetting by raindrops.
