AbstractThe dorsolateral prefrontal cortex (dlPFC) is thought to be a key site in the brain’s cognitive control network, supporting cognitive processes like attention and working memory [1,2,3,4,5,6,7]. There is also evidence that the dlPFC is engaged during anxiety regulation tasks, suggesting that anxiety regulation may be mediated in part by dlPFC activity [8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15]. However, the degree to which these two domains of processing overlap is unclear.

AbstractMany chronic disease symptomatologies involve desynchronized sleep-wake cycles, indicative of disrupted biorhythms. This can be interrogated using body temperature rhythms, which have circadian as well as sleep-wake behavior/environmental evoked components. Here, we investigated the association of wrist temperature amplitudes with a future onset of disease in the UK Biobank one year after actigraphy.
