One of Britain’s leading fund managers has told investors he remains unconvinced by Nvidia’s prospects, even as shunning the US chip giant pushes his Fundsmith Equity fund towards a fourth year of underperformance in a row. Terry Smith said that the 9.3% return delivered by the £25bn fund in just six months would ‘normally be cause for celebration’. Titan Wealth has taken legal action against Tavistock, alleging that it terminated a 10-year distribution deal early ‘against a background of serious wrongful conduct’ rather than being dropped following underperformance. Yesterday AIM-listed Tavistock told the market it was scrapping the tie-up because of a period of ‘sustained underperformance’. However Titan has now ‘strongly denied’ that the decision had anything thing to do with underperformance.
