That victory sets a clear path for Fort Wayne to win a third-straight Valley Division title.     FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - Next year, some new travel baseball teams will represent the Summit City. Wednesday afternoon, the TinCaps and Parkview Sports Medicine announced the launch of PSM TinCaps, a program fielding youth travel teams from the 10U through 17U level. Former TinCaps player and retired MLB vet Josh VanMeter will run the program. VanMeter started his role as director of the PSM Baseball Academy earlier this year.

    FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - East Noble grad Brayden Risedorph pitched at Parkview Field a few times in high school, and he returned to downtown Fort Wayne this week, in the early stages of his professional career. Risedorph said the ballpark always seemed massive when he was a kid, but neither the field, nor the moment, was too big for the 21-year-old righty on Wednesday night. Risedorph pitched the final inning of a 5-0 win over the TinCaps. He allowed one walk with one strikeout.

    FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - The TinCaps and Cubs battled in a wild game at Parkview Field that ended up as an 11-9 South Bend victory. In addition to the 20 runs, the teams combined for 26 hits on Tuesday night, with six batters getting hit by a pitch throughout the evening. 18-year-old San Diego prospect Leo De Vries hit a two run homer in the losing effort, his fifth home run of the season.

    FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - Fort Wayne FC treated fans to an exciting finish on Saturday night, with a 4-2 win over the visiting Dayton Dutch Lions. Tied 2-2 in stoppage time, Fort Wayne’s Venton Evans got taken down in the box, then scored on a penalty kick to give the club the lead in the 96th minute. Dayton’s attempt to answer in the final moments failed, leading to a Fort Wayne breakaway, and a goal for Hugo Garcia in the 98th minute.

Mallory Weller capped off her junior year with individual state championships in the 1600m and 3200m races. Concordia freshman Daphne Weller (Mallory's sister) finished 10th in the 1600 and 19th in the 3200. @CLHSCadets
