The Walleye seized control of the second round playoff series, beating the Komets 2-1 on Thursday night at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum. The Komets now trail 3-2 in the best-of-seven series, with Toledo set to host game six (and game seven if necessary). Despite outshooting the Walleye 35-12 on Thursday night, the Komets netted just one goal, a score by Anthony Petruzzelli early in the third period.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - The Komets staged an impressive comeback late in regulation, but eventually fell to Toledo 3-2 in game four of their second round playoff series. Trailing 2-0 in the final few minutes of regulation, the Komets scored their first goal of the night when James Stefan scored in the final second of a power play. Jack Dugan then capitalized on a penalty shot, scoring with 1:05 left in regulation, sending the game to overtime.

Fort Wayne goalie Brett Brochu delivered a standout performance on Monday night, leading the Komets to a 2-1 win over Toledo. The Komets take a 2-1 series lead over the Walleye, with two more games coming up at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum. Brochu made 32 saves, allowing just one goal on Monday night.

The Dragons rallied a couple times throughout the night, but the TinCaps had an immediate answer both times. Fort Wayne went up 2-0 in the second inning, after a solo homer from Ethan Long, his first of the season. Dayton posted three runs in the top of the fifth to grab a 4-2 lead, but it vanished almost immediately. De Vries, the reigning Midwest League Player of the Week, went 3-for-3 with a single, double, and two-run homer. Catcher Brendan Durfee also had a strong night at the dish- with a 4-for-4 performance, including three doubles.
