After more than three years in Early Access, survival action-RPG Len’s Island will launch in 1.0 on June 19, 2025. Developed by the formerly Brisbane-based but now Zurich-based Flow Studio, Len’s Island mashes farming, crafting, base building and dungeon crawling to create a deep survival action-RPG experience. In the 1.0 update, Flow Studio introduces 2-8 player co-op multiplayer, the Act 5 dungeon, which gives players access to the game’s final boss, and more.

Argentinian developer Blyts is no stranger to the adventure genre, having released three entries in its Nobodies series and Kelvin and the Infamous Machine in 2016. All of its titles are sitting on Very Positive or Positive user reviews on Steam, so the expectation for its latest game Slender Threads was high. Thankfully, as it has done several times before, Blyts gives players an experience that leaves a positive impression and could be its best yet.

It’s early March and it’s the eve of the 2025 AFL season. Like all supporters, I’m hopeful for the year ahead. But as a Carlton fan, I’m used to disappointment, and it seems that my only way to see the Blues successful these days is to deliver that success myself through video games. I don’t want a simulation experience where I play through a season though; sometimes I just want to pick up the controller and play.

The film adaptation of Supermassive Games and PlayStation’s choose-your-own-horror exclusive Until Dawn hit cinemas this yesterday, and surprisingly the critical response suggests that the movie isn’t as bad as video game cinema normally is. After 42 reviews, the David F. Sanberg-directed Until Dawn has a decent score of 62% on movie review aggregation website Rotten Tomatoes.

The second season of Peacock’s adaptation of PlayStation’s Twisted Metal will launch on July 31 on Stan. Season 2 will feature 12 episodes and sees the return of Anthony Mackie, Stephanie Beatriz, Will Arnett and Joe Seanoa in their roles, while being joined by Anthony Carrigan, Saylor Bell Curda, Lisa Gilroy, Richard de Klerk, Patty Guggenheim, Tiana Okoye, and Michael James Shaw.
