In November, I was on a panel at Web Summit in Lisbon titled, “Has AI Broken the Media?” We didn’t really discuss that provocative question, but I did get to talk about how AI is being used among journalists at The New York Times, where I'm in the editorial director of AI initiatives.

I just gave this short talk at the International Symposium on Online Journalism (ISOJ) in Austin, Texas. It builds on a point I made at the end of my last presentation. ISOJ is an awesome conference, drawing a great mix of journalists and academics from South and North America and chaired by the inimitable Rosental Alves.
