As new tariffs on goods from Canada, Mexico and China took effect Tuesday, businesses and consumers are girding for the effects on their costs and the competitive landscape. President Donald Trump signed executive orders last month but delayed implementation of 25% tariffs against Canada and Mexico until Tuesday.
