    DENTON COUNTY, Texas — Deputies with the Denton County Sheriff's Office shot and killed a man Tuesday after he allegedly pointed a gun at them, officials said. According to a news release from DCSO, deputies were serving an arrest warrant in the 10000 block of Field Lark Lane around 2:45 p.m. when they made contact with Kenneth Wayne Jones, 58. DCSO said Jones failed to comply with verbal commands and pointed a gun at the deputies, which led them to open fire on him.
