Aaron Glenn has had nearly perfect attendance from Jets players so far in OTAs - a benefit of that for the Jets coach: It will allow him to get a head start on evaluations for depth chart competitions. Nobody is going to win or lose a job this time of the year, but they certainly can help (or hurt) themselves. These are light practices, so that makes the evaluation less about on-field performance than it will be during training camp and the preseason.

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. - It was cold and wet on Wednesday at the Jets' practice facility, but everyone was there anyway. These workouts are all voluntary, yet there stood 91 men wearing Jets uniforms. That was the case on Tuesday and, Aaron Glenn is pretty sure, on Wednesday too. That's 100 percent attendance. No contract holdouts, no pre-planned vacations to faraway lands, just a young football team, out on the field, practicing together when they don't have to.

On Wednesday night at 8 p.m., the NFL will release the 2025 schedules for every team. We already know a few details of the New York Jets' regular-season slate. The league announced the teams and dates for the 2025 international games on Tuesday, which included the Jets' Oct. 12 meeting at London's Tottenham Hotspur Stadium against the Denver Broncos. That will count as one of the Jets' nine home games this season.

The Jets were at a crossroads after the 2022 season. They'd fired offensive coordinator Mike LaFleur and made it obvious, especially behind closed doors, that they felt like they had a good enough roster to get to the playoffs ASAP - they just needed a quarterback. Zach Wilson was not the answer, at least not heading into 2023. So they turned their focus to two veterans: one a pipe dream, the other a more realistic option they felt was good enough to get them over the hump.

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. - Aaron Glenn stood on the practice field with his arms crossed, observing. On a windy Saturday afternoon during rookie camp, Glenn was often on the move, bouncing from position group to position group. He was taking notes, most of them mental. "It felt good being on the grass," he said afterward. Glenn was resisting the urge to get into the mix. That's what his muscle memory was telling him to do - you're a coach, so coach.

What a coincidence that I was sent this news literally just as I saw this coaster at a bar in NYC… https://t.co/cUvoScpWOg
