Yesterday, the world was introduced to the newest leader of the Catholic church, Pope Leo XIV aka Robert Francis Prevost. He was elected after just two days and was born in Chicago, making him the first American pope in history. He also is very likely the first pope to regularly play video games. On May 8, shortly after Prevost was officially announced as the new pope, NBC Chicago spoke to his older brother, John Prevost, about how wild it is that your younger bro is now the pope.

Doom as a franchise has evolved a lot over the decades since it first arrived in the ‘90s. But through all those changes, there remain a few things I need in a Doom game to feel satisfied with it. A Doom game checklist, if you will. It’s not long, but it does make up the core of Doom. You need lots of monsters and demons to kill. Levels with secrets. A badass shotgun. And you gotta go to Hell at some point. That’s it. Those are the core pillars of Doom.

In new interviews, the devs behind Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 have explained why the popular career mode from the original THPS4 isn’t going to be included in the upcoming remake. Announced in March after a bunch of rumors, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 looks to be a fantastic remake of two of the best skateboarding games ever made. THPS 3+4 is set to launch in July on consoles and PC, boasting improved visuals, quality-of-life features, and new levels.
