Much of this coverage concerns fears of AI-perpetuated labor-market disruption and mass unemployment. Most reactions were of revulsion, as while people recognized that the film was legally permissible, they found the choice to be in poor taste. After all, there are infinite options to choose for the big bad of your low-budget slasher. Why choose a beloved children’s character?
