With the holiday season in full swing, the S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control is encouraging residents to take advantage of the many Overdose Safety Kits available at health departments across the state. According to a press release from the state health agency, the safety kits contain two doses of the opioid-antidote medication naloxone, five fentanyl test strips, educational materials on how to use both and guidance for how to identify an opioid overdose.
