Cavity optomagnonics has received considerable research interest in recent years, due to the coherent magnetic Brillioun light scattering in the ferromagnetic material. Here, we theoretically propose and numerically verify a feasible scheme for the full polarization tomography on photon statistics in an optomagnonic whispering-gallery-mode microresonator system in the weak-coupling regime.

AbstractCancer remains one of the leading causes of mortality worldwide, leading to increased interest in utilizing immunotherapy strategies for better cancer treatments. In the past decade, CD103+ T cells have been associated with better clinical prognosis in patients with cancer. However, the specific immune mechanisms contributing toward CD103-mediated protective immunity remain unclear.

Chinese tech companies like ByteDance and Tencent are setting up engineering offices outside China. Local hires in these global offices are becoming a norm. These locally hired engineers typically have limited Chinese language proficiency. It is a challenge for them to understand the Chinese tech terms used in their daily work, and to communicate with their Chinese colleagues. Here are 5 common Chinese tech terms, along with explanations and examples of usage in a sentence.

Abstract As machine learning (ML) methods continue to be applied to a broad scope of problems in the physical sciences, uncertainty quantification is becoming correspondingly more important for their robust application. Uncertainty-aware machine learning methods have been used in select applications, but largely for scalar properties.

Abstract We theoretically propose an optical polarization-state engineering based on a cavity optomagnonic platform in the full quantum regime. Here, the optomagnonic interaction can be realized in an yttrium iron garnet (YIG) sphere, which supports both two traveling-photon modes with orthogonal linear polarizations [i.e., horizontally (H-) and vertically (V-) polarized photon modes] and a Kittel magnon mode.
