Several areas in eMalahleni are ‘running dry’. Vosman Police are investigating a case of hijacking and attempted murder after a man was shot and injured. The incident occurred on the evening of June 3 in Kwa-Guqa Extension 4. According to the police, the man was on his way from work when the hijackers pounced. The man told the police that he stopped at his gate and hooted for his wife to open for him when two men approached him. They were armed and demanded he get out of his bakkie and leave everything behind.

Laerskool Panorama recently ushered the learners into yet another thrilling session of their pop-a-balloon competition, which got learners winning incredible prizes. On May 23, the school community engaged in a fun-filled activity that was introduced on May 16 and will be taking place every Friday until June 11. The learners have to pay an amount of R10 to pop a balloon, and were allowed to buy as many balloons as they wanted.
