    ONTARIO, Ore. — What started as a driving complaint turned into a police pursuit after an Oregon driver fled from police during a traffic stop. Oregon State Police (OSP) on Thursday said one of its troopers conducted a traffic stop around milepost 327 on Interstate 84 in Oregon. Police had suspicion that the driver was impaired, so the trooper called in an additional unit. Oregon State Police then tried to complete a field sobriety test, but the driver fled the scene.

    STAR, Idaho — Wednesday evening was busy for Star Police deputies, as they responded to two different calls just minutes apart for separate injury crashes. Around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 4, Star deputies got a call from the Beacon Light Road and Highway 16 area for a reported injury crash. About seven minutes later, a second crash happened near New Hope Road and Munger Road. During the second crash, the driver left the roadway and crashed into a fence, then a home, according to police.

    CALDWELL, Idaho — Summertime in Idaho means hot temperatures and dry conditions. Neither of those aid in making firefighting easy. To help mitigate fire risk, the city of Caldwell has implemented an immediate burn ban within city limits. "The combination of dry conditions and elevated temperatures has significantly heightened the threat of wildfires in our area," said Alan Perry, Deputy Chief of Fire Prevention.

    BOISE, Idaho — Come Sept. 20, Downtown Boise will welcome back Idaho's largest fitness celebration: St. Luke's FitOne. Registration for the event kicked off on Wednesday, June 4. Event organizers enticed athletes with a special deal on Wednesday: $25 registration for any race length. Prices are set to increase after June 4. Registration closes on Sept. 19. Kids 12 and under race free with a paid adult registration.

    EAGLE, Idaho — The Eagle Police Department had to close West Floating Feather/Highway 55 in Eagle on June 3, due to a fatal crash. Deputies were dispatched to the intersection of Highway 55 and W. Floating Feather. According to police, preliminary investigations indicate that a BMW RR motorcycle was going south on Highway 55 when a red 2020 Chevrolet Silverado pickup turned onto W. Floating Feather, colliding with the bike in the intersection.
