W283AN (104.5 FM) is an FM translator station based in Orlando, Florida. It broadcasts an urban contemporary music format sourced from the HD2 subchannel of WTKS-FM. This station began operations on February 12, 2014, and is owned by iHeartMedia. Its launch followed WJHM's transition from a Rhythmic CHR format to Top 40/CHR. Originally, the station was established in 2007 as an FM translator for WREH-FM, featuring “ReachFM” programming. Reach Communications sold W283AN, along with other translators in Florida, in 2012 and 2014 to serve as a rebroadcasting service for WFLF and WYGM. Clear Channel, now known as iHeartMedia, relocated the WFLF simulcast from WTKS-HD2/W283AN to WMGF-HD3/W273CA. This change paved the way for an urban contemporary format to be introduced, branded as “104.5 The Beat.” The launch occurred just before WJHM (now WQMP) switched from rhythmic contemporary to CHR, a move aimed at competing with local stations like WPYO and WXXL, which was the only CHR station in Orlando at that time.

Photo: Joe Raedle / Getty Images News / Getty ImagesAnother legal win for former President Trump who just survived an assassination attempt yesterday. Harvard emeritus constitutional attorney Alan Dershowitz says Judge Aileen Cannon found that the appointment of special counsel Jack Smith violated the Constitution. Dershowitz called this was the most winnable of the four cases against Trump. An appeal would mean the matter will be eventually being contemplated by the US Supreme Court.
