    Every time I think I’m ready to stop apologizing or seeking permission for the self-promotion I need to do to stay afloat, I land back in my default position on the matter: shame. Then I write about it cathartically, mostly here, making sure everyone knows that what might look like nonstop shameless self-promotion is me holding my nose and reluctantly putting myself out there, not because I want to, but because I have to.

    Three years ago, I initially bailed on Severance, Ben Stiller’s surreal workplace series on Apple TV after watching just the first two episodes. I struggled to grasp what it was about, or where the story was headed. It seemed too weird for me, so I stopped watching.     Seven words I live by, because they’ve proven to be true: Whenever I follow my curiosity, I succeed. This is not some kind of woo-woo magic, but simple logic: If a topic captures my attention in a big way, I know it’s surely capturing the attention of others, too, and because of that, what I create on that topic will likely resonate and do well. This has borne out for me again and again.
