Alabama Public Television
Alabama Public Television (APT) is a network of television stations that are part of the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) in Alabama. It is managed by the Alabama Educational Television Commission (AETC), a state government agency responsible for the licenses of all PBS stations in Alabama. The signals from APT's nine stations reach nearly the entire state and extend into areas of Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, and Tennessee. APT creates various programs, including public affairs shows and documentaries, as well as educational content for classrooms and professional development for teachers. They also offer electronic field trips designed for K-12 students.
