Fishing at a Midlands stillwater, Norfolk-based Richard presented a grain of corn beneath a light waggler at close range to tempt the fish. On a trip to a large southern pit, Leicester angler Lee Snow landed the fifth different bream of his specimen angling career over the 17lb mark when he slipped this huge fish scaling 17lb 3oz into the net. He was targeting the side of a gravel bar around 90 yards out from the bank, where he found a silty area in 15ft of water. Bait-wise, he didn’t introduce much loosefeed, scattering just a few handfuls of hemp, corn,pellets and casters over the spot.
