Singapore-based startup Arcfra has entered the hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) market and been named in Gartner’s latest Market Guide for Full-Stack HCI Software less than a year after launch. CEO Wenhao Xu founded Arcfra in May 2024 and the company has since expanded operations into South Korea and other parts of the Asia-Pacific region.

Data protection vendor N-able reported a loss and lower growth in its first 2025 quarter. The company supplies data protection and security software to more than 25,000 managed service providers (MSPs) who supply services to small and mid-market businesses in turn. It also sells to distributors, SIs, and VARs. Revenues in the initial 2025 quarter were $118.2 million, up 3.9 percent year-on-year and above its guidance range, with a GAAP loss of $7.2 million.

The latest release of PeerGFS can access the same file through SMB and NFS protocols at the same time. PeerGFS (GFS stands for Global File Service) provides real-time, active-active replication of file volumes between datacenters, the public cloud, and edge locations. It has a multi-master approach based on the idea that a distributed organization’s files should be treated as dynamic entities without a fixed location, with the source of truth constantly updated and distributed as needed.

In its first reported results since being split off from Western Digital, SanDisk reported revenue and profit declines for its NAND and SSD business. Revenues in the quarter ended March 28 were $1.7 billion, down 0.6 percent year-on-year and 10 percent sequentially. SanDisk said its revenues were above the guidance range. After a $1.83 billion goodwill impairment charge, there was a GAAP loss of $103 million, contrasting with the year-ago $27 million profit.
