Boat Trader

Boat Trader

Boat Trader was established in 1996 as the digital version of Boat Trader Magazine™, which is distributed throughout the United States. In 2006, the magazine and the website came together to provide boat dealers and individual sellers with both print and online options for selling boats. By 2010, as the demand for online boat listings surged, the company shifted its focus entirely to the Internet. Today, Boat Trader stands as the largest online platform in the U.S. for buying and selling boats, engines, and personal watercraft. The site's audience, which averages around 9 million users each month, continues to expand, drawing in more boat dealers and private sellers from across the country looking to list their boats for sale.

For 2025, however, this is a completely new event. Now called the Bay Bridge Boat Show at Safe Harbor Narrows Point, the only similarity between the old show and the new one is the fact that you’ll see dock after dock lined with brand new boats.

The vast majority of the center console boats out on the water today look appealing to the eye. After all, buying a boat is an emotional decision and few of us are willing to spend big bucks on a boat we’d call “ugly.” Still, finding a true standout is a rare event. Walk the docks of any boat show and eventually all those pretty hulls of gleaming fiberglass begin to blend together. Until you happen upon a boat like the Mag Bay 38 CC—and your heart skips a beat.

There’s a slew of different types of fishing boats on the water and most have specific missions, but the vast majority of the anglers out there enjoy more than one type of fishing. If you’re looking for a boat that can handle multiple missions and you’re a fan of both inshore saltwater fishing and offshore angling for big game, Cobia has two new models you’ll want to check out. The Cobia 285 CC (left) and 285 Open (right) are all-new for the 2025 model year. Photos via Cobia Boats.
