The Boat Owners Association of The United States (BoatUS) has been dedicated to supporting recreational boaters since Richard Schwartz established it in 1966. We proudly hold the title of the largest association for recreational boat owners in the country, with more than 500,000 members who pay annual dues. Our organization offers a wide range of marine services tailored for recreational boaters. We insure boats valued at over $8 billion, manage the largest on-water towing fleet known as TowBoatUS, advocate for boaters' rights in Washington, assist with financing for boat purchases, create high-quality boat graphics and lettering, publish BoatUS Magazine—the most widely read boating magazine—and provide mediation services through our Consumer Affairs team, among other offerings.
