Administrators overseeing the sale of Inverary Inn in Scotland have appointed Colliers to market the business for offers over £2.85m. Begbies Traynor were appointed as joint administrators of the 24-bedroom property, which traded as the George Hotel, on 28 March. Thomas McKay, a partner at Begbies Traynor, is supervising operations at the hotel as the business continues to trade as usual.

Neil Parry has joined Cricklade Hotel & Spa in the Cotswolds as general manager. The 45-bedroom hotel and spa has appointed Parry from his most recent role as director of operations with Crest Hotels where he had been for just over a year. Prior to this he was hotel manager at voco St Davids Cardiff and deputy general manager at De Vere Tortworth Court.

Bird Group, the operator of Roseate Hotels & Resorts, has acquired Beechfield House in Wiltshire to add to its growing portfolio of UK properties. Grade-II listed Beechfield House was sold by Chris Whyte who has owned the 24-bedroom hotel for the last 19 years, and now plans to retire. The property was sold off a guide price of £4m. Alongside the bedrooms, the hotel features an Orangery, walled garden and swimming pool, plus a number of meetings and events spaces.

Brother-and-sister duo David Whitehead and Joanne Dwyer, the new owners of Yorebridge House in Wensleydale, North Yorkshire have revealed plans to add a new spa and additional accommodation at the five-star property. Whitehead and Dwyer already own and operate The Jolly Fisherman pub in Craster, Northumberland, as well as wet-led venue Rosie’s in Newcastle city centre and pub and wedding venue The Woodmans Arms in Wickham.
