Mark J. Rebilas-Imagn Images Consider this my opening statement on the 2025 season:The Window is Open. Coach Klieman and company can move Kansas State from the “good, not great” tier of teams to the “national contender” tier in 2025. This sort of opportunity doesn’t come around often for a program like Kansas State, and the Wildcats are in the perfect position to capitalize, but this isn’t a prediction of future success.

Kirby Lee-Imagn Images This year’s NFL Draft has been wildly entertaining, largely due to the spectacle of ESPN’s anointed top-10 selection sliding all the way down to the fifth round.

Jay Biggerstaff-Imagn Images The world of transaction-based college basketball is exhausting, and that’s where Coach Tang chooses to reside. Make no mistake, this isn’t a coach getting unlucky with transfers; it’s a coach recruiting the equivalent of college basketball mercenaries. I don’t blame the players; they chose Kansas State because Kansas State offered them the most money. These guys aren’t hiding their intentions.

Photo by Michael Hickey/Getty Images The all-time assists leader for Kansas State, a WBCA and AP All-America honorable mention selection in 2025, Serena Sundell has been selected with the 26th overall pick by the Seattle Storm. Sundell came to K-State with the Glenn twins, a trio from a stellar AAU team that promised big returns.

Photo by Andy Lyons/Getty Images It’s been over 20 years since the Kansas State Wildcats made the regional semifinals. Back in 2002, the then 3-seed Wildcats fell 82-62 to 7-seed Old Dominion. It was a reversal of 1982, when in the first NCAA Tournament, the 4-seed Wildcats beat the 1-seed Monarchs 76-67 to advance to the program’s one and only regional final. The Wildcats face a huge test today. USC comes into today’s game having lost just three games all season, earning them a 1-seed.
