British Heart Foundation

Every year, we invest over £100 million into research focused on heart and circulatory diseases and their underlying causes. This includes conditions like heart disease, stroke, vascular dementia, and diabetes; all of which are interconnected and fall within our area of study. Our research has led to remarkable advancements, including machines capable of restarting hearts, techniques to repair arteries in newborns, devices to regulate heart rhythms, and even the ability to provide transplant hearts. While we've made significant strides in improving survival rates, heart and circulatory diseases still claim the lives of 1 in 4 people in the UK, leaving a trail of sorrow in their wake. Thus, our mission remains critical and urgent. Through our research, we strive to safeguard the health of those we cherish: our parents, siblings, grandparents, and friends. Research is at the core of our identity. It embodies our commitment to discovering future treatments and cures, and our determination to eliminate heartbreak for good. The progress we've achieved has been made possible by generous donations from individuals like you. Together, we can continue to make breakthroughs and ultimately conquer heartbreak.

Now we are taking the next step in that journey.
