It was an eggcellent day at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Academy of Brooklyn as the school hosted its annual and final Easter Hat Parade on April 15. During the day, students from pre-kindergarten to eighth grade celebrated Holy Week and walked around the Sunset Park school wearing their homemade Easter-themed hats. Their parents and families also went to watch and support the parade.

Pliant Energy Systems, Armstrong World Industries and LG CNS have joined the Pilots at BAT program, which gives space to, and helps, new and emerging companies in the field of climate technology, which includes sectors like roofing, energy efficiency, HVAC systems and more.

Three men were arrested for allegedly entering the sewer system from the street on 17th Avenue and 82nd Street on April 14. Cops are still searching for other suspects. At 5 p.m. the men reportedly opened a manhole cover and climbed down inside the sewer system. Cops said one man stayed on the street and reattached the manhole cover. Zion McKenzie, 25, Shawan Thompson, 26, and Willie Green, 39, were arrested later that night.

Two crooks broke into a Bensonhurst home, attacked a man inside and stole $2,200 in cashduring the early morning of April 12. At 3:30 a.m., the thieves broke into the home on 21st Avenue and 72nd Street. Cops said one of the invaders pepper-sprayed the man, 58, before they grabbed the cash from a bedroom. They ran out of the home and fled in a minivan. The victim was taken to Maimonides Medical Center for treatment.
