Amersham resident, Rebecca Cox, donated a pair of trainers to the installation in memory of her dad, Steven. She is running this year's London Marathon to help the charity raise funds to develop the 'ultimate test' to speed up detection of the deadliest common cancer. The poignant installation at Potters Fields Park featured 797 running shoes, including the pair Rebecca donated, dedicated to her dad, which read "Dad, my motivation on marathon day and my inspiration always.

Aylesbury Central Primary Care Network (ACPCN) has announced the "Community Big Dig" event, taking place at Crown Leys Allotment (Havelock St, HP20 2NX) on the 24th April, 14:00pm -16:00pm. This community-focused initiative aims to create a space for holistic treatment for patients of Berrycroft Community Health Centre and Whitehill Surgery, while promoting wellness, healthy living and community spirit. The project is a collaboration between ACPCN, Bucks Council and the two GP surgeries.

Every year the University of Buckingham confers honorary degrees to a number of individuals who have all made major contributions in their particular field. Tony Martin set up the Anthony V. Martin Charitable Foundation in 2001 with his own funds, to improve animal welfare and reduce suffering in the UK and around the world. This work continues today with Mr Martin serving as Chair and a Board of Trustees distributing funds to charities each year.

In March 2025, Stoke Mandeville Hospital A&E met the national standard of 78% of people being seen, treated and discharged or admitted to hospital within four hours of arrival at A&E. As a result, the department has climbed from 48th to 18th place in the country for A&E performance (comparing results from Q4 of 2024/25 to Q4 of 2023/24) and is consistently now the second-best performing A&E in the South East region. Ambulance handover times have also significantly reduced during this period.
