Icelandair has launched flights between its Reykjavik base and Nashville in Tennessee, which becomes the carrier’s 18th North American destination. The Nordic airline operated its first flight to Nashville, known as “Music City”, on Friday (11 April). It will offer four flights per week until the end of October. Icelandair is using Boeing 737 MAX aircraft, equipped with its Saga Premium and economy seats, on the new route with flights to Nashville on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.

TAP Air Portugal has opened its first international lounge at Miami International Airport in partnership with South American carrier Avianca. The shared business class lounge is located within Miami’s South Terminal and will be open 24 hours a day with a capacity of up to 337 passengers. Kenya Airways is to launch flights between London Gatwick and Nairobi this summer – its second route to the UK capitalThe African carrier, which already operates daily flights between London Heathrow and Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, will introduce three weekly services to Gatwick from 2 July. Kenya Airways will operate the new Nairobi-Gatwick route on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday taking its total weekly flights from London up to 10.
