On June 12, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved Zusduri, an intravesical solution of mitomycin, for people with a specific type of recurrent low-grade bladder cancer. In a Phase III clinical, 78% of treated patients had a complete response. Low-grade intermediate-risk non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer (LG-IR-NMIBC) affects around 82,000 people in the United States each year, about 59,000 of whom experience recurrence.

We broke the news on Facebook like this: Friends, we wanted to provide an update following our MRI last week. The short of it is the radiation held a large tumor mass stable but without any shrinking of tumor. A couple of other mass-like spots in a different location but same hemisphere grew in size. These concern us because they indicate spreading disease. It is too early to know whether the new chemo is having an effect.

People with advanced small-cell lung cancer (SCLC) who received lurbinectedin (Zepzelca) chemotherapy plus atezolizumab (Tecentriq) immunotherapy as a maintenance regimen after initial treatment had delayed disease progression and longer survival, according to study results presented at the 2025 American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Annual Meeting taking place this week in Chicago.
