A male suspect has been taken into custody after two males were injured in a shooting in Oshawa Wednesday evening. Durham police were called to John and Simcoe streets for reports of a shooting. One of the males was taken to a Toronto-area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries while a second male arrived at a local hospital suffering from a gunshot wound. Man critically injured in Mississauga shooting

Peel Regional Police officers were called to Tranmere Drive and Telford Way, near Dixie and Derry roads, just before noon on Wednesday. Paramedics say they transported the man, who is in his 40s, to hospital with critical injuries. There is no word on suspects or the circumstances that led to the shooting. No further details were immediately available.
