Ciao Bambino!
Ciao Bambino was born from my desire to maintain the adventurous lifestyle I cherished before having kids—a lifestyle rich in travel. I originally thought that the year-long sabbatical my husband and I took in 2001 would satisfy my wanderlust, allowing me to settle down and start a family with ease. However, that final adventure before becoming a parent only fueled my passion for exploring new places. I had no idea then how wonderful family travel could be, and as a result, the mission of Ciao Bambino evolved from simply making travel possible to creating meaningful travel experiences for families at every age and stage.

Along Colombia’s northern coast, facing the Caribbean Sea, the port city of Cartagena makes for a fantastic two-day stop before moving onto other areas of the country or elsewhere in South America. Colombia’s astounding ethnic diversity — some 90 indigenous groups and 65 languages — is well represented in Cartagena, where most locals identify as a mix of European, indigenous and African ancestry.

As you bump your car down the rugged road that leads to Castle Hot Springs Resort, you might feel as though you’ve been let in on a well-guarded secret. This stretch of Arizona’s Sonoran Desert is remote and barren, populated mostly by saguaro cacti stretching their arms to the endless blue sky, and there’s nothing to hint at the lush paradise that awaits at the end of the dust-clouded drive.

Known for centuries as the fashion capital of the world, Milan is also famous for art and, of course, football (soccer). Although it isn’t often counted among the most kid-friendly of Italian destinations, it has all of the makings of a memorable family city break during your Italy trip, with a lively combination of history and culture plus easy access to nearby airports.
