COLCHESTER — Who doesn’t love a free community art show with a family friendly activity? The Colchester School District’s annual art show last week showcased a variety of creative work from all grade levels, ranging from masks to pottery to paintings and drew a crowd that packed the Colchester High School gymnasium. The district held a reception to celebrate the event on Thursday evening.

COLCHESTER — Alumni who graduated from Colchester High School in the 1980s are invited to attend a reunion that will celebrate the decade. Set for 4:30-10:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 27 at St. John’s Club in Burlington, the event will bring together old friends for reminiscing and fun. Guests will enjoy a buffet-style dinner and dancing backdropped by lake views. Teresa Poquette, an organizer of the event, said there will be an open mic for alums to share their memories.

COLCHESTER — Since opening three months ago, the Colchester Recreation Center has been a busy home to a variety of programs for community members of all abilities. Open seven days a week, the new facility has a gym and track, with locker rooms to change clothes. It also hosts group fitness classes like pilates, yoga and pickleball.

COLCHESTER — Three buildings with 65 affordable studio and one-bedroom apartments have been built in the Fort Ethan Allen neighborhood of Colchester. The project was a collaboration between Champlain Housing Trust and Evernorth and apartments rent for an average of $1,200 per month and include heat and hot water. The first tenants moved into the buildings at the beginning of this year and the newest will move into the most-recently completed building later this month.
