ST. ALBANS — As part of our ongoing work to digitize our film archives, here is a set of photos taken 50 years ago during this week in May of 1975. A concert on a lawn with an audience sitting in folding chairs and on blankets foreshadows the coming summer. The concert is happening in Taylor Park, with St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in the background. What do you remember about summer concerts in Franklin County in the 70s? COLCHESTER — Throughout his career, Colchester Middle School social studies teacher Damien Dulude has focused on respecting his students so they can do their best work. “I’ve always viewed them as my people,” he said. “What I mean by that is I've never looked at them as, ‘oh, they're just 13 years-old.’ As an example, not talking down to them, I talked to them as a history teacher.”Dulude has been a social studies teacher at Colchester Middle School since 1994.
