Honoring 2025 inductees, the Bridgeport High School Alumni & Friends Hall of Fame Banquet will be held Saturday, Nov. 1 at the “O” by Oliverio’s. Social hour will start at 6 p.m. with dinner and introductions of inductees beginning at 7 p.m. The Hall of Fame is open to BHS graduates and non-BHS graduates. Alumnae must have benefited society or the community in which they live, excelled in their chosen field, or directly contributed to BHS through time or talent.

Ribbon Cut on Eighteenth Avenue Boutique By Julie Perine on May 10, 2025 On Friday, May 9, the Harrison County Chamber of Commerce came to 102 Hill Street in Bridgeport for the official ribbon cutting of Eighteenth Avenue, owned by Samantha Hall. The following day, the grand opening of the boutique took place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and it is now open for business 12-5 p.m. Wednesdays and Thursdays, 12-6 p.m. Fridays and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays.

25th Anniversary WV Botanic Garden Day is Saturday By Julie Perine on May 09, 2025 Featuring 85 acres of lush nature, eight gardens and 4.5 miles of walking trails, the WV Botanic Garden is hosting a 25th anniversary event on Saturday, May 10. “This will be the fifth year that we’ve done WV Botanic Garden Day, but this being our silver anniversary, we are going to be playing off that theme,” said Jasmine Allison, Visitors Center Manager.
