Coolidge Examiner
The Coolidge Examiner began its journey in 1930, well before the city of Coolidge was officially established 15 years later. According to a passage from the 1980 Arizona Newspapers Association directory, the very first printed copy was handed to former President Calvin Coolidge during the dedication ceremony of the Coolidge Dam. The second copy went to Charles Stauffer, who was the publisher of the Arizona Republican in Phoenix, while the third was given to the widely recognized comedian and commentator Will Rogers from Oklahoma.
