Congressional Quarterly, Inc., commonly known as CQ, is now part of CQ Roll Call, a privately owned publishing company. This company publishes several reports focused mainly on the United States Congress. In 2009, CQ was bought by the Economist Group and merged with Roll Call, leading to the formation of CQ Roll Call. Since that merger, CQ has not operated as an independent organization.
