    Cytech training provider Activate Cycle Academy has reopened the Cytech Darlington Workshop, offering courses from Home Mechanic up to Cytech Technical Three. Located inside the building of parts, accessories and clothing distributor ZyroFisher in Darlington, the workshop is now headed by new trainer Chris Borrowdale, who boasts experience in the outdoor adventure industry and is an expert downhill racer.     AllTrac Group’s eBike security system CycleTrac bike tracker has been awarded the Secured By Design (SBD) accreditation. SBD is the official police security initiative that works to enhance the security of buildings and their immediate surroundings, providing safe places to live, work, shop and visit. SBD’s product-based accreditation scheme—the Police Preferred Specification—provides a recognised standard for all security products that can deter and reduce crime.

    More young adults were more willing to buy an eBike last year, although there was a significant amount of people struggling to identify legal products, according to a study conducted by the E-Bike Positive campaign. Young adults aged between 25 and 34 were planning to travel by eBike over cars or public transport driven by health and environmental concerns. Nearly half (49.34%) said they’re more likely to buy an eBike now than they were a year ago.

ZyroFisher has released a statement confirming the change, which comes into effect at the end of this year, and noted it is handing CamelBak over in rude health. Revelyst – CamelBak’s owner as of 2023 – announced it was taking other brands within its portfolio like Giro and Bell direct to retailers at the end of 2024.
