Founded in 1989, AAJ (Urdu: روزنامہ آج) is an Urdu-language newspaper that is published simultaneously in Peshawar and Abbottabad. It has earned a strong reputation for its unbiased coverage of local and national events, making it the most widely read newspaper in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa. The late Abdul Wahid Yousafi, a distinguished journalist from the region, was the founder, owner, and chief editor of the newspaper. He was honored with the Pride of Performance award in 2008 for his significant contributions to journalism.
