The New England Patriots have released captain and center David Andrews, the final player with connections to their Super Bowl dynasty, the team announced on Thursday (March 13). Andrews, 32, initially signed with the Patriots as an undrafted free agent in 2015 and won Super Bowls LI and LIII, making 121 starts in 124 appearances during his 10-year NFL career.

The Seattle Kraken officially broke ground on the re-shaping of their roster and on-ice future, parting ways on Wednesday with a pair of veteran figures from what is now becoming past lore. Out the door is center Yanni Gourde and right winger Oliver Bjorkstrand, along with a fifth-round pick to the Tampa Bay Lightning. Another sunny day in Peoria. Another day getting to know the latest version of the Mariners. Tuesday was quite educational. Cal Raleigh isn't kidding about wanting to play all 162 games behind the plate. He was named after Cal Ripken, you know (that is the truth). Needless to say, Ripken wasn't a Catcher. Sorry 29, it ain't happenin'. When asked if 70 stolen bases are a possibility in 2025, Victor Robles was quick to respond, "why not?" He was dead serious. Bryce Miller has another new pitch.

Chuck & Buck's Spring Training 2025 Coverage is underway. A few things that stood out on Day 1:Unlike 2024, several position players did NOT show up early with the Pitchers & Catchers. Read into it what you will. Dan Wilson really likes what he's seeing from Gabe Speier. The first-year Manager mentioned Speier twice in his introductory press conference, and the lefty reliever was the first name that came to mind when I asked him who has stood out to him during the first few days of camp.
