Greetings eaters and readers and a question: Are we still in stew season? Or: Is stew ever out of season? Just tell me whatever answer allows me to enjoy the above Moroccan Chickpea Stew for as long as possible. It’s the one I linked to last week, along with Pilar Guzmán’s instruction (call to arms?) to invite your friends for soup, and let me just say that it will not be hard to get people to your dinner table if this is what’s on the menu.

Herewith, an index of the spring and summer recipes I’ve written (and written about) the most over the years, the ones I make over and over throughout the season, from bright salads to easy outdoor cookout mains to crisp, fruit-infused cocktails to the vegetable-forward everythings you’ll be craving as soon as spring really gets its footing.

Greetings eaters and readers! What’s for dinner? Last night, I made Shakshuka using leftover sauce from a Sunday lasagna; tonight is possibly a mushroom tart with a salad or my Broiled Caesar with Chickpeas; and later in the week, in honor of Yankees’ Opening Day, I’m plotting some 2.0 Turkey Burgers.
