Do you want to save another drag strip? The former Marion County International Raceway (MCIR) is up for sale yet again. This track has changed hands several times over the last decade, and could be brought back to life for the public to enjoy again. MCIR was listed for sale in 2013, 2018, and then in 2021. The creators from the Triple F Collection YouTube page are the current owners of the track.

In January 2022, Made In The USA, Inc., based in Westfield, Indiana, filed an application with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) to trademark the term “DRAG-N-DRIVE.” This term, widely recognized in the drag racing community, refers generically to events that combine drag racing with road driving segments, racing at multiple venues while driving the race vehicle to each location with no support vehicles or towing allowed. On May 2, 2023, the USPTO granted Made In The USA, Inc.

Milan Dragway has officially been sold to the IHRA. The historic facility opened its doors in 1964 and has been a huge part of the greater Detroit racing scene. Milan has even hosted IHRA events in the past along with other big events. The IHRA isn’t wasting any time in making improvements to the facility. Kurt Johnson and the team from TVC have already started working on the track surface and in the pits as well.

Love it or hate it, 4-wide racing always produces some exciting results. The NHRA has a total of three 4-wide races on its schedule in 2025, one of them will be run during the playoffs. The Strip at The Las Vegas Motor Speedway is such an appropriate backdrop for one of these 4-wide races. It really fits the unpredictable nature of 4-wide action. We were lucky enough to have Mark Riker on the property at The Strip to shoot the 4-Wide Nationals for Dragzine.
